The Rev. Rich Frontjes, Ph.D.
Rector

Fr. Rich has served as the Priest for Christ Church Waukegan since November 2024. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and has worked in cross-cultural contexts for more than 30 years.
His academic study of cultural encounter led to a Ph.D. in 2014 and the publication of a book on Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz in 2019. His ministry is especially focused on pastoral preaching, Bible study, and the richness of cross-cultural community.
Lisa Graves
Music Director
Lisa has been the music director of Christ Church Waukegan since 2015. In this role she is both choir director and organist, accompanying the hymns during services. Lisa also organizes holiday ensemble concerts, children’s activities, hospitality, and community music performances.
Yoselin Rico
Parish Administrator
Yoselin has served at Christ Church Waukegan since the summer of 2024. She helps keep the parish running day to day, supporting communications, events, facility use and the many details that make church life possible. She is also involved in Christ Church’s Community Meal, working alongside volunteers and community partners to provide meals and hospitality to neighbors in need.
Yoselin is passionate about building connections within the church and the wider Waukegan community. She enjoys creating opportunities for people to gather, serve, and support one another, and is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration.

The Rev. Amanda Wright
Deacon
The Reverend Amanda Wright was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons on June 27, 2026, following her graduation from Bexley Seabury's deacon formation program earlier that spring.
Amanda and her family joined The Church of the Holy Spirit in 2011, and she has since taken up leadership in several of the parish's ministries. For fifteen years she practiced as a physical therapist at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, and she now brings that work into patients' homes. She serves as deacon at both CHS and Christ Church Waukegan. Her sense of vocation is straightforward: to walk with people as they discern God's call, and to help them offer their gifts to the world. Away from her work and ministry, she is happiest hiking to waterfalls around the world with her family, staying active, and serving alongside neighbors in need in Waukegan and North Chicago.
Amanda grew up in Lake Forest and earned her master's degree in physical therapy at Ithaca College before returning home in 2000 to begin a family with her husband, Jeff. Together they have four children: Carter, 21, a junior at Bowling Green State University; Julia, 19, a sophomore at Bowling Green who plays in the marching band; Claire, 16, a junior at Lake Forest High School; and Nolan, 11, a fifth grader at Deerpath Middle School.
